If we hadn’t stopped at each border to leave and enter the respective countries, I don’t think I’d have known we’d ever left El Salvador.

In Nicaragua we were stopped by the police for “speeding.” After the driver gave the officer some money for gas, he let us go ticketless. Kooky, but it gave us something to laugh about on the very looong ride.
