Is anyone having trouble with the cookies not being set? They work for me and I’ve tried fixing them, so I’m not really sure what’s going on. If anyone has any info it would be much appreciated. (I’ve tried using the fix from Adam Kalsey, but it doesn’t seem to be helping.) ::sigh::

I now, I knnow, it’s late, but it’s there.
im running movabletype and ive been having problems lately on my site as well. i wasnt having problems personally for a long time too but i figured out why:
the cookie has already been set for you. if you try to “forget yourself” it wont work. try it. if you go get firebird and set it to promt when a site tries to set cookies you’ll notice your comments never even try. but you its just reading the cookie thats already there. when i formatted i lost my cookie so now i have to write out my name every time. i tried manually creating a cookie for myself using a couple friends websites as a template but it didnt work. it really sucks. i have no idea whats going on and the people in the moveable type forums dont know either.
but all my friends mt run blogs work. *sigh*
if you ever find something out you have to promise to tell me about it! ill do the same.
i don’t know. i clean out my temp folder (including cookies) quite frequently. it’s a pain because i then have to retype all of my info but for the sake of my harddrive i do it. and my cookie is always reset. so still, i’m back to square one...not sure what’s going on. i made some changes yet again late this weekend and we’ll see how it goes.
