Hi. So you want to know about the site. I realized a few years ago that my lack of Web skills was a problem. I started checking out sites and their source code to try and understand what it was exactly that I needed to learn. I also started up pages on a couple of online communities (none that need to be mentioned) and stumbled my way around until I moved over to Geocities and bought an HTML Bible book. My early attempts (which you can take a look at using the links on the left) were quite frightening to say the least, but slowly things began to improve (in my opinion, of course. I’m sure some would disagree). I began coding in Notepad, and though I do use Homesite, the simple text editor is often my tool of choice.
Though I like to hand code everything, the discovery of an amazing Snazzykat tutorial, Movable Type, CSS and PHP make site maintenance a lot easier. I also rely on a number of scripts, tips, hacks and plugins to run this site.
The original moon/girl logo was designed by a friend. Since its creation it has seen many iterations, mostly due to my incessant need to change the look of the site. Currently there are six available designs to choose from.
The site’s main purpose is to allow me to build on my coding skills. But it wouldn’t be any fun to code blank pages so the site also serves as a home to many of the things I enjoy doing. The content in the various sections doesn’t always get the attention it deserves, but that’s pretty standard with any hobby as we all know.

As for the more personal information: I am a 31 year old latina living in the too often cold state of Virginia. My name is Patricia. Never Pat or Patty. Trish or Tricia only if you’re younger than five. I was born in 1973 and am a Pisces. On and off work I consider myself to be a child advocate.
